Carol L. Bierman Ashland - Carol L. Bierman, 62, of Ashland, IL, died Friday, May 31, 2024, at The Bridge Care Suites in Springfield. She was born Dec. 17, 1961, in Yazoo City, MS, the daughter of Bernie W. Bierman and Virginia Lee (Aggertt) Sperry. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Lee Sperry of Ashland; her uncle, Steve (wife, Sally) Aggertt of Ashland; and numerous cousins including John Aggertt and Colby Aggertt. She was preceded in death by her father; and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Aggertt, whom she was very close to. Carol graduated from Washington (IL) High School. She received her first bachelor's degree in Ag from Illinois State University. She completed the Middle School Teaching Program and taught for 28 years in Gibson City, retiring in 2017. She earned her master's degree in Life Science from Eastern Illinois University. Carol loved animals, especially her Quarter Horse, Skip.
