Bobby R. Rhoades Sr. 89 of Rushville, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was born June 9, 1935, in Sheldon's Grove, the son of Earl and Erma Edwards Rhoades. He married Sharon Lael Spears on September 16, 1992, in Rushville, and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2009.
Surviving are his three children Bobby (wife Cathy) Rhoades Jr. of Meredosia, Rob Rhoades and Elana Rhoades both of Rushville; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister Joyce Rhoades of Florida, and His darling fiancé Sandy Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Todd Rhoades; two brothers, Lester Rhoades, Ray Rhoades; three sisters, Virginia Bushnell, Maxine Davis, Betty Harn; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Rhoades; and three brothers Richard Rhoades, Lester Rhoades, and Ray Rhoades.
Bobby served in the US Army in Germany during peacetime from 1958 until 1961. He was formerly employed with Archer-Daniel-Midland Chemical Plant, Ohio River Company, and finally
